Shorewood Instagram Reel

This project is a result of the hard work I completed in a class called J445, or Creative Campaign Messages, which is offered through the journalism program at UW-Madison. The Instagram reel featured here belonged to a larger creative campaign crafted with real-life clients. Who are the clients? Well, none other than the Village of Shorewood, located in Milwaukee’s North Shore district.

As part of this semester-long project, classmates and I met with officials from the Village of Shorewood to gather information about them and their goals for our class-led campaign. After meeting with Shorewood's local government officials, a group of eight other students and I crafted a 50+ page campaign book and multiple social media deliverables, such as this short reel.

Through this class project, I got to experience what it was like to work on the creative side of the strategic communications field and interact with trained professionals in a professional setting. I think I'm a better communicator because of it.
